Read the "Hints" in the far right pane!

Then download the needed bin file:

tk4mvs.bin

Brief Getting Started Instructions

  1. Already have downloaded tk4mvs.bin
  2. Load State your tk4mvs.bin file
  3. (may take 5-60 seconds)
  4. Scroll down to the Serial Console
  5. Push Enter key 2-3 times to see command prompt
  6. Enter: cd mainframe/tk4mvs
  7. Enter: ./mvs
  8. After mvs is up, scroll up to the main window
  9. Enter: c3270 localhost 3270

Depending on your browser speed, may take 30+ seconds to come up.

This version of c3270 needs C-a k to see key map and C-a c to clear.

In the pane above, immediately below is the "send files to emulator" input box, may need to scroll down.

Hints & Notes

If the mouse is trapped in the window, press ESC key.

On an I7 PC with 8GB of RAM, this app can use a high percentage of the RAM!

The "back" key in the Serial Console does not appear to work.

The correct set date command: date --set="dd mmm yyyy hh:mm:ss"
